How important is for You having healthy and amazing hair? I guess that a lot… Are You still using most popular commercial shampoos found in the supermarket? If Your answer is yes then You make a big mistake!

Natural healthy hair was always kind of priority for me. I don’t have to spend a lot of money on body cream or shower gel but shampoo and conditioner is a different thing. I have never ever found yet a good shampoo for less than 10 € honestly. It has been many years that I use only good quality shampoos and my hair is very grateful for that.

What does good shampoo?

  • Fits your hair type (sooo many people use shampoos that are not right for their hair type!)
  • Doesn’t contain ingredients like SLS or SLES, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, DMDM hydantoin, imidazolidinyl, triethanolamine (TEA), coal tar dyes,1,4-dioxane. Many of these ingredients are carcinogenic and slowly destroy your hair. Not always You’ll notice it because there are some other ingredients added especially to mask it (for instance silicones).
  • Has a high quality and effective ingredients, the more natural the better.
  • Ethical and harmless to the environment production is always a huge plus!

So trust me, if You want to enjoy healthy hair for many years (especially if You wash them frequently) then You need to invest a little bit more in your hair care.

There are many different shampoos that I could recommend You but today let’s focus on Maria Nila True Soft line which conquered my hair recently.

Shampoo, Conditioner, Argan Oil and Hair Mask from Maria Nila True Soft.

About Maria Nila

Maria Nila is a Swedish professional hair care brand. They are 100% vegan and cruelty-free, certified with Leaping Bunny, PETA, and Vegan Society. Their specialty is Colour Guard Complex which is a color preserving formula in all of their cosmetics. They are also working with Plan Vivo. So every time You buy a Maria Nila product You contribute to the planting of new trees in South America. Isn’t it totally awesome???

True Soft line from Maria Nila

The haircare line that I was testing is called True Soft. It is based on argan oil, destined for dry and brittle hair. I have had always quite oily and flat hair but from the moment when I started my Accutane acne treatment, they’ve become very dry. They do not get oily never. I wouldn’t have to even wash them for a week, but I do it out of decency 😀

All the products in the liner are supposed to moisturize, revitalize, smoothe and strengthen the hair. Colour Guard Complex which is present in every product of every line protects hair and reduces the loss of color caused by washing, heat styling, UV rays, and free radicals.

True Soft shampoo and conditioner from Maria Nila

Maria Nila shampoo and conditioner True Soft

Ok, let’s start from the fact that their products are quite pricy. 1l of shampoo or conditioner costs 67 €. I have smaller versions: 350 ml shampoo (27€) and 300 ml conditioner (27 €). BUT! their price is justified with their quality and also they are very efficient. The shampoo is very foamy so You need a really small amount of product to wash all your hair. The conditioner wraps your hair instead of vanishing and making you use too much product.

There are also available little 100 ml bottles which are perfect for travel or to try it first, before deciding to spend a lot of money for full size.

True Soft hair mask from Maria Nila

The mask costs 29 € for 250 ml. It has a very dense consistency. I use hair mask only from time to time, especially after treating my hair with heat. But when I do it, I use quite a lot of product and I wrap my hair with a towel and I leave them like that for 15 mins or more. After True Soft mask, my hair gains a lot of density! It seems like I would have more hair after the treatment. And it doesn’t burden the hair making it look flat.

True Soft Argan oil from Maria Nila

In this case, the cost per milliliter is the highest. For 100 ml we have to pay 29 €. However, I think that this is also the most concentrated and efficient product out of all line. For my long hair, I need to use just 3-4 small pumps. The same as all the rest of the cosmetics from Tru Soft line also this one gives us protection from UV rays. It makes your hair look healthy and shiny (not greasy!). It is oil, but it is absorbed totally by the hair and it doesn’t leave an oily film. Despite all these advantages, this product won my heart with its smell! It smells like Marshmallows and fruits. And this smell stays on your hair all day boosting your mood whenever the wind blows.

If I would have to choose just 1 product what would it be?

Well, for sure It would be shampoo because this is something that we use the most often. We can skip sometimes conditioner or mask, but shampoo no. However, I think that it is important to use something in addition, some treatment. If I would have to choose only 1 product to add to my shampoo, it would be Argan oil. It is very quick to use on an everyday basis. It soothes and moisturizes the hair immediately and that smell! OMG… heavenly.

In conclusion

Maria Nila haircare line True Soft is amazing. It gives You the luxurious sensation of having your hair done at a professional salon. It takes care of your hair in the best possible way. The smells are very gentle but beautiful and do not seem artificial. The only minus is the prize, but as I mentioned before it is justified by the quality, efficiency, results and environment-friendly production. And me personally, I think that it is worth every penny and definitely I am going to repurchase their products.

That’s interesting!

Maria Nila has also a line Colour Refresh which contains hair masks with different color pigments. For instance silver, peach, cocoa, pink, azure, violet, and many others… The color lasts from 4 to 10 washes. All my life I have had natural color hair cause I am scared to destroy it with hair dying products but these Colour Refresh masks sound like something that I would really love to try! Should I…?
